Travel
With high gasoline prices, travel is expensive. Nevertheless, traveling with volunteer parents is much less expensive than flying or renting buses - which undoubtedly would still be followed by a parental caravan. If parents can not travel to a particular tournament, we ask that they help with gas money to the parents who transport their boy. Parents obviously will have the added expense of their athlete's motels and meals; and their own motel, meals, and travel expenses. 2012 tournaments/fees are posted. See Elite Schedule page. For any possible changes check the schedule and coaches corner pages weekly.
To obtain directions from your home to each instate tournament use the MSHSL.org website and Yahoo or Google maps: Addresses for all Minnesota High Schools are posted on the state’s website. On this website, left click on schools, find the school address on the right hand side of the page. Go to www.Yahoo.com (or google) and left click on Maps in the middle of the page. Left click on the phrase “driving directions”. Under the number 1, type your home address & under the number 2, type the desired HS destination address. Print off the directions.
Devotional Night
Proverbs 21:28: "...the man who listens to the truth will speak forever..."
Dr. Paxson gives a 3 series set of devotionals with Glory Elite and one devotional with the 16U team. The devotionals are entitled: "Money - escaping from college nearly debt free"; "Dating and Marriage - Do you like her mother?"; and "Where do you go from here, fellas?"
One night each year we invite a nationally recognized guest speaker. Former NBA All-Star Walter Bond, Power lifter Jeff Warner, Olympian Ron Bakes, & Northwestern College Executive John Delich are professionals who have spoken to our athletes.
Glory Alumni & college stars including Kit Avery & Taylor Huseby have also given team devotionals.
